Attendance is always high as is the desire of the 100 regular players striving for improvement.
What the University requires is a driven and ambitous Head Coach to consolidate the 1st XV position in the division and prepare the squad for next years campaign. The Head Coach must also have a desire to encourage the lower teams to improve.

09/01/12 Congratulations on Maidstone FC being awarded the SoA
07/01/12 Club awarded RFU’s prestigious Seal of Approval
The club is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the RFU’s prestigious Whole Club Seal of Approval; Maidstone is only the fifth club in the county to achieve this and among approximately 60 across the country. The project was spearheaded by Chairman, Andy Golding and Wendy Pound who in conjunction with a number of other club members, notably Des Diamond and Charlotte Walker on the coaching coordination and safeguarding aspects, have worked hard to achieve all the organisational standards and criteria to meet the rigorous RFU award.
The RFU Seal of Approval accreditation recognises the effort and achievement of the club and its volunteers in reaching the standard required in the development of rugby across the whole club, and to plan for the long term sustainability of both the club and the sport.
The Seal of Approval scheme was originally introduced by the RFU several years ago and originally focused on Mini & Youth sections, and was a response to the development, by Sport England, of the Clubmark award (designed to recognise safe and quality provision for young people), the Seal of Approval is recognised by Sport England as qualifying clubs for that award. The Whole Club Seal of Approval process was subsequently introduced to extend the process, and the accreditation, beyond the Mini & Youth section and into the Whole Club.

25/11/11 Looking for a small amount of funding that will make a big difference? Do you have a great community project that could come to life with just a small amount of funding? Then maybe Biffaward can help.
Biffaward has funding available under the Small Grants Scheme, and is encouraging applicants to come forwards.
Often groups only need a small amount of funding to make a real difference to their community, whether it be transforming a community building, protecting a precious nature reserve, renovating a cultural facility that sits at the heart of their community, or creating an outdoor space that will bring enjoyment for all. By applying for funding from the Small Grants Scheme groups have quicker access to funding to make their projects happen.
Under the scheme you can apply for between £250 and £5,000, however your project must cost no more than £10,000 in total.
The standard eligibility criteria apply, so we strongly advise you read the guidance notes that can be found on the application form, before completing your application, to ensure your application is eligible and that you answer each question appropriately. Take a look at our standard criteria here.
The scheme operates a rolling application process, allowing you to apply at anytime. We would particularly welcome applications from our target regions of London and Scotland. Learn More >>
