Second triangular of the season was held at Southend RFC with opponents again being Essex and Sussex. All the matches were hard fought and there was not much in it all, Kent continued their winning ways against Sussex but came unstuck against Essex where the score was the reverse of the Kent triangular. Essex went on to win overall with narrow a victory over Sussex.

Essex County U15 Festival 2008
Kent v Sussex
Kent forwards dominated the game winning a majority of possession for their backs. However the heavy playing surface, together with good Sussex tackling prevented any early score.
It was Sussex that opened the scoring, using their limited possession to score a try wide on the left. Another breakout from defence brought another Sussex score under the posts, before Natalie Gill ended a good short-side move for a Kent try.
Sussex added another score before the game ended 17-5 to Sussex.
Essex v Kent
Kent's final game was against Essex. However the limited floodlighting caused the referee to abandon the game at half time for safety reasons. The final 0-0 score well represented an even and hard fought first half.
In the other U15 game, Essex beat Sussex to win the festival overall.
KENT U18 V HAMPSHIRE U18
Winchester RFC 9th November 2009 Hampshire 17 Kent 5
In very blustery conditions Kent took on Hampshire at Winchester RFC. In the first half possession was evenly spread between the two sides with Hampshire taking their chances to score two tries. Kent seemed to have lost confidence in their own abilities and rushed a lot of their possession, the ball was passed around and recycled well but there was little forward momentum.
Mid way through the second half Hampshire scored a break away try under the posts which they converted, the last quarter Kent regrouped and started to take the game to their opponents, grinding out hard yards and keeping Hampshire pinned down in their own 22. This pressure paid dividends with Iona Todd touching down in the corner. In the end Kent ran out of time to turn the game and need to start where they left off when they take on Essex and Sussex in two weeks time.

Triangular Tournament Kent vs. Essex vs. Sussex
19th October 2008
Kent Girls under 18 team continued their winning ways at the triangle tournament held at Aylesford RFC at the weekend. It was an excellent performance from the whole squad especially in defence and by the back row in particular. In attack the team were confident and built on multiple phases giving the backs their three magnificent trys and some good tight interplay for the two forwards trys. Special thanks needs to go to the referee who kept all three games flowing and making them great to watch.

Sussex Festival, Crawley September 28th 2008
The first games of the season for Kent Girls Under 18s saw them gel very quickly, the forwards worked ceaselessly all day with powerful interplay out in the open and rock steady scrummaging, this provided quality ball for the backs to run some great lines of attack through the opposition. In defence the team shaped up well and only conceded a break away try in extra time of their last match. A very exciting and promising start to the season.
